We have some fancy new code in permies that was born from attempting to simplify our affiliate program.  The idea is that the content of the page will change based on:

   - whether you are logged in

   - whether you have signed up for our affiliate program

And then another new bit of code is the ability to show the user affiliate code (we call it "the f code") embeded in the page.

What I need help with the most, is somebody that has never signed up for our affiliate program before to go through all the steps and let me know if it is working okay and looks okay.  Or if there are any steps to make even simpler than we already have.

Need feedback please!

hi Paul,

The only problem is this new link makes my f-code obvious wherever I post the link. The more subtle links that embed the f-code less obviously in the middle of the link are far wiser.

Wonderful idea though! And I've learned to add "permies" to many Google searches to give priority to permies wisdom. See also LLM queries. πŸ™ŒπŸ’―β™ΎοΈπŸ¦‰πŸ€—πŸ™πŸŒ³πŸŒ³πŸŒ³πŸŒπŸŒπŸŒŽ

I like the simplicity. I didn't have any trouble with the program as it was (besides not having a good platform to share links on), but the page did what you said it would do, and required NO work on my part.

The only thing I noticed that I would change (And it's a wiki; I WILL change it unless you'd rather I leave it for you.) is that in step 3 you say:

Use your link to go to the permaculture cards page.

The link goes to the Garden Master Course page.

Nothing i can do about that one.  F-codes are embedded into our permie thread stuff, but this is the only way we could get it to work on our word press pages.

I viewed the page - looking good and is very clear!

Since I'm from outside the EU I followed the link prompt for "outsiders" and landed on this page .
But then I loose the reduced price and my affiliate link, they don't follow along.

PS. I immediately also checked the getting healthy (cancer) paywall situation, if there would be a similar option for outsiders, but there's not (yet).

Kudos to the whole Permies-team for all the work happening behind the scenes!!

For me, non-US resident, it just sends me to http://permies.gumroad.com/l/garden-master-bundle. Unable to test it fully then.

Nina and Richard,

All true.  Gumroad has no f-fcode stuff.  To make it even worse, if you sign up for our affiliate stuff and then tell a million people using the f-code, only the american purchases would bring you affiliate monies.

On the other hand, gumroad has an affiliate program.  I just don't know how it works.
